Countess Sarah-Sofie travels back to 1807
Join Countess Sarah-Sofie on a journey back to the age of empire
Reporting from the perspective of 1807, she recalls the siege of the city by Prussian and French troops, and remembers the university’s glory days when the philosophers Fichte, Hegel and Schelling and the poets Goethe and Schiller were there. Sarah-Sofie humorously recounts true stories from the period, some of which she will have witnessed herself. Occasionally during her talk, her audience will encounter acoustic and optical illusions, but the countess will do her utmost to bring the real Jena of 1807 to life.
